About the Yoga

When was the last time you chose you? This retreat is designed as a reset and is dedicated to give space to YOU so you come back home to yourself when life pulls you away, so you can choose yourself, emerging as your true self, full of self-love and acceptance.

During the full moon we will have a chance to observe and connect to the shifting energies. Lunar energy by nature is cooling, restorative, nourishing, nurturing and intuitive and invite us to slow down, go within and connect to the divine feminine energy within us. We’ll dive into the magic that resides within in our body, exploring inwards towards feeling, awareness, self-healing and peace. We combine this with an outward experience of learning and sharing with other beings, in a beautiful place, far away from our day to day.

Move your body daily with deep embodiment vinyasa yoga practices, guided breathing practices and meditation to connect to your inner world, and yin or restorative yoga to observe the shifts in energy within and music to match the rhythm of life that you seek. You will set sacred intentions, practice affirmations and gratitude, let yourself to feel your feelings and allow what is.

All this deep work will balance with free time for contemplation, entertainment for the senses with nourishing food, walks in nature, sunbathing at beach or at the pool.

Culinary Yoga Retreat

A Yoga & Culinary Retreat //
Practices of Liberation

All Level ✺ 20- 26 July ✺ Casa Erica, Málaga, Spain

Our signature Yoga & Culinary Retreats are perfect for those interested in plant- based cuisine eager to learn more or simply get inspired.

Jivanmukta means liberated while living, and refers to a person who has gained complete self-knowledge and self-realisation. It’s easy to overlook that the practices of yoga are designed for this purpose, which is why it is so potent when we set aside time to go deeper into our practices.

Perhaps the beginning of living liberated is to recognise that we are not limited to the roles we may have in this lifetime. We not defined by our careers, nor by our possessions, nor by any other external factors. So why should we hold so tightly onto these identities. Whats more, those of us truly aspiring to live liberated must recognise that we are but one cell in the body of all of life. So how can we live in a way that inspires harmony?

During this week we will explore the relationship between asana and intention. Between breath and the awakening of our full consciousness.

Each morning will start with chanting, meditation & pranayama, followed by a deep & purposeful asana practice. The afternoons will be a mixture of workshops designed to explore specific aspects of the practice in more detail.

Rowena Johnson

Rowena is an Advanced Certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher, and a 200hr & 300hr teacher trainer, who has been practicing yoga since 2008.

With a personal practice of Ashtanga and Jivamukti, Rowena’s classes are strong, purposeful and interspersed with personal insights, spoken word and uplifting music. The alchemy created is inspiring and potent, far beyond the mat.

Whilst based in Berlin, Rowena teaches internationally on yoga teacher trainings, workshops and retreats.

If you want to take a class with Rowena you can find her at Three Boons Yoga in Berlin (also online classes) or try the yoga video we’ve  recorded with her last year.

Culinary Workshops:
Nourish and Connect

by Caro Gante

The process of cooking and eating food does not have to be a chore–it can be a celebration. With Caro, you will feel the collective energy of cooking as a community, sharing laughter, tips, and the recognition of the land as provider of everything. You’ll eat a variety of food that not only feed your belly but nourish your soul. Disconnect from the utility of consuming and reconnect with the idea that food is more than just food—it is the core of community, of connection, of life.

In the afternoons, we’ll gather around the kitchen for three different vegan workshops:

  • Fermentation: learn the basics and the benefits of this ancient practice
  • Pasta: a hands-on adventure in preparing 3 different pastas and sauces
  • Galette: a sensory affair of both sweet and savory

In the evenings, the dinner table will become our social experience where we will feast on the soulful meals we created, sharing mouth-watering bites and the stories that bind our hearts to one another.

You’ll leave this retreat with a greater ease in the kitchen, technical skills and a recipe e-book, and a deeper connection to your own intuition so you can flow beyond the recipes to create meals that bring you both joy and sustenance.

About Caro Gante

Retreat chef and integrative nutrition health coach Caro will guide you with her creative approach through three workshops in which she’ll share her knowledge and passion for wholesome vegan food. Next to essential ideas of the plant-based cuisine Caro will introduce to you a variety of her favorite recipes which are designed for experienced cooks as well as curious-minded yogis that are new to the world of vegan cooking.

On this retreat, you’ll level up your cooking skills and confidence in the kitchen while also getting a better understanding of holistic health and wellbeing.

Joyful Heart

Joyful heart

All Level ✺ 29 June- 5 July ✺ Casa Erica, Málaga, Spain

We all are looking for happiness. Not the superficial kind, but the gentle, truthful kind, where you need nothing external to bring that joyful smile, that glow onto your face.

We get together in this wonderful space, created straight from the heart, to awaken our body, open our mind and fuel our soul. We practice presence and appreciation for what is, finding freedom from expectations, overthinking and worrying, and experiencing moments of pure joy, connection and gratitude.

Surrounded by mountains and sea we come together and celebrate life and community, with daily yoga classes, meditations, yogic breath work and different self-reflection practices. We will immerse in both dynamic flow yoga in the mornings (Vinyasa Yoga) and gentle yoga practices in the afternoons (Yin Yoga), exploring different sequences and poses from simple to advanced, diving deep into the practice. In guided meditations and mindfulness ceremonies we honor the present, reconnect with ourselves and find our true inner joy.

Jenny Hirtz

Jenny Hirtz is a certified yoga teacher based in Berlin. She has traveled and lived all over the world; wherever she goes, yoga is her faithful companion. For the past six years she has been sharing her passion full-time in classes, seminars, yoga teacher trainings and retreats all over Europe.

Jenny’s retreats are always about connection; with oneself, the present moment, nature and those around. She creates an atmosphere that invites authentic exchange, profound experience and joyful moments.
