Immerse the Self

Immerse the Self

All Level ✺ 16- 22 October 2023 ✺ La Viñuela Andalusia, Spain

We live each day surrounded by sound—busy city streets, the hum of technology, the vibration of the living, pulsing world around us—this vibration becomes our vibration until we answer the call to find a more intentional rhythm.

This retreat is your invitation to answer that call.

Immerse in Self, Sound, and Yoga will provide a single unified beat that will inspire balance, alignment, and peace. Sound healing and vibration reflect the sounds and vibrations of earth, air, fire, water, and ether, helping you to reset and reconnect in sacred relationship with Pachamama, the earth mother, and a higher cosmic consciousness. Through sound, you will form a deeper connection with the Self, melt away tension, improve creativity and focus, and re-establish a harmonious flow of energy.

Each morning will begin with a steady pulse of music so that our playful, dynamic flow will seem to have emerged from within. We’ll intertwine pranayama and meditation so mind and breath can join the chorus. In the afternoon, a slower vibration will help us settle into practices like yin and restorative yoga, yoga Nidra, and sound healing meditation. Through these practices, you will find softness, rest, and relaxation for your mind, body, and soul.

Nicole Windle

Nicole is a student and teacher of Yoga & is a Sound Healer based in the UK. She has been sharing her healing practices for 8 years.
Her practice and teachings have taken her all around the world with different teachers, trainings and ashrams and now her passion has led her to creating and hosting retreat experiences in the UK and Europe for the last 7 years. Nicole’s practice and teachings are inspired by her love of travelling the world and bringing the East to the West, because we all need a bit more woo-sah. She trained in Ashtanga/Vinyasa and has since trained in Yin yoga. Her teachings take inspiration from the Jivamukti method and power yoga, whilst bringing a more feminine lunar practice with Yin yoga.
She invites you to immerse yourself in the healing sounds and vibrations of her sound bath experiences and yoga asana practices.

Beginner & All Level ✺ 22-28 October 2023 ✺ La Viñuela Andalusia, Spain

A reset for body mind and soul.
Join us for a six day Yin Yoga & Somatics retreat, linked to the meridian theory & organ health, as well as cleansing pranayama (breathwork) practices and gentle somatic flows to attain balance.

During this retreat, you will nourish your entire system through targeted meridian practices and activate your body’s own healing powers.
Boost your immune system and start glowing from the inside out.

The yin practice will open up different meridians working from the inside out and the somatic flows will support a healthy flow of energy throughout the system.

Yin practice doesn’t require a lot of energetic effort, instead we are creating a rest and digest practice for the body to optimise the organ’s functions.

Additionally we will bring balance with gentle somatic flows, mantra practices and well chosen musical elements throughout the practical sessions.

Each day’s practice will focus on a different element ( earth, water, fire, air & ether), linked to a specific organ pair.
Yin will allow us to restore chi in our organs and the somatic work, accompanied by pranayama ( breathwork) will support a healthy flow of chi/prana ( bio energy)

Expect a nourishing week, where our main focus lies on connecting our inner with outer world – harmonising and connecting with the five elements present within and all around us at all times!

There will also be an introductory workshop offered on traditional Chinese medicine & yoga.
A week of self care, nourishment, heart based Somatics and mantra practices surrounded by nature.

Janine Behrendt

Janine’s Yoga journey started in 2008 during her late teens after being in show dance for a decade. First for the physical relief but not long after that for the feeling of wholeness, a calm mind and the ability to see things differently.

In 2013 she completed her first 200 hour Multi- Style Yoga Teacher Training in Dharamsala, India with Trimurti Yoga School (RYS), focused on Yogic anatomy and various different styles like Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Hatha and Yin which she personally likes to combine during her own practice and therefore share that experience with her students – “Different bodies, different needs. Its about finding the balance (tula) in everything .”

In 2017, she completed a 300 hour Jivamukti Teacher Training under the guidance of Sharon Gannon (Co-founder of the method) , Yogeswari and Moritz Ulrich. Later in 2017 she started studying and practing the Insight Yoga method as taught by Sarah Powers.

2018 she completed an apprenticeship program with her mentor Miriam Iannone (advanced certified Jivamukti teacher) who has shared with her the art of sequencing and hands on assists.

2020 she completed a Yin Yoga Teacher Training focused on functional anatomy and TCM practice with Sebastien Pucelle and Murielle Burrelier (With-Yin Yoga).

She is currently diving into the therapeutic approach of Iyengar Yoga as well as doing in depth studies into the field of Kundalini Yoga practices, integrating and exploring the benefits of Pranayama ( breathwork). Janine continues to explore the blend of various different styles and likes to share the benefits of a well balanced Yoga practice , integrating Yin and Yang sequences supported by Yogic teachings , gracefully incorporating music to assist those benefits .

The Journey Home

The Journey Home

All Level ✺ 14-20 April 2023 ✺ La Viñuela Andalusia, Spain

One of Yoga’s greatest promises is to move us towards an experience of life that is infused with lasting fulfilment, ultimate freedom and a joy that is untouched by external circumstance. We taste the essence of that place by coming to understand the nature of our mind, its tendencies, and how we may best use its potential in service to our growth.

This retreat is an opportunity to dive a litter deeper, in an embodied way, where the teachings can begin to reveal themselves to you, through the direct experience of your own practice. Together we’ll explore traditional source wisdom, alongside the practices that help breathe life into all of it in a way that feels meaningful to you.

Mornings will comprise of a complete practice (asana, pranayama & meditation) that weave Yogic philosophy/ understanding into the fabric of the experience. The afternoons will alternate between restorative practices that help us to balance & regulate the nervous system, inviting deep rest into the cells of the body (Yoga Nidra, Meditation etc) and, or workshops that provide an opportunity to further unpack Yoga’s essential teachings.

Journalling and self enquiry will play a large role in our experience together, as a means to spark greater clarity, growth and transformation.

Restoring Rhythms - Fully Booked

All Level ✺ 8-14 April ✺ La Viñuela, Andalusia, Spain

Yoga & Ayurveda place great importance on our understanding of the connection/ union between that which is taking place inside of us, and that which takes place outside of us. From the rhythms & polarities of day and night, to the changes of the seasons, to our sleep/ wake cycles and much, much more. How is it that we may learn to live in greater harmony and balance, by coming to both observe, and then better understand, the cycles within and without?

This retreat is an opportunity to dive a little deeper into the wisdom bodies of Yoga & Ayurveda, bringing together these two sister sciences by way of empowering your understanding of practice, and most especially, your experience of Self and life. Together we’ll explore traditional source wisdom, alongside the practices that help you to breathe life into that wisdom, in a way that feels both meaningful and effective for you.

Mornings will consist of a complete practice (asana, pranayama and meditation) weaving yogic philosophy/ understanding through the fabric of your experience. The afternoons will alternate between workshops, as an opportunity to further unpack some of Yoga & Ayurveda’s essential teachings; and, or restorative practices that help to balance and regulate the nervous system, inviting deep rest into the cells of the body, and marking that all important transition from the activity of the day, into the restful nurturance of night.

Journalling and self enquiry will play a large role in helping to spark deeper change, growth and transformation, as you come back step-by-step to a way of being that feels more nourishing and true to you. Experience some of the tools/ means that will support you in building the emotional, mental and physical resilience to meet with the totality of your life ~ in all of its sweetness, and all of its challenge, and every aspect of its unknowing

Reflect & Renew

Reflect & Renew

All Level ✺ 21-27 January ✺ La Viñuela, Spain

As the Earth experiences seasons, so too do our bodies and minds. Spring brings new life and color, summer rains abundance, autumn calls us to shed our unnecessary layers, and winter turns us inward. How can we find a way to honor this phase that is so profoundly connected not only to life, but to who we are as well?

Winter is a time when both our bodies and the earth are slower, calmer, and more withdrawn. We burrow into piles of warm blankets, and we are called to rest more deeply. Winter is ruled by our intuition, so we will set our intentions for the year ahead. What are we ready to let go of? What are we ready to call in?

During this week, we will move our bodies in dynamic vinyasa morning classes that will get stagnant energy flowing again, leaving us feeling freer and lighter.

In the afternoons and evenings we will rest deeply to release even subtler layers of tension from the body and mind. Often these are a kind of holding on that we are not even aware of. When they are released, we find space, relief, and we feel an opening up.

These sessions will include yoga nidra, a guided meditation while you are laying down, restorative yoga, in which we restore the body to a state of complete relaxation, and singing mantras, to connect to our hearts.

The Spanish sun will bring light and uplifting energy. The mountains will offer us a broader view. And as we zoom out from our daily lives, we will give rise to new ideas, inspiration, and energy for the year ahead.

Gift yourself a week of quiet me-time surrounded by others looking for connection, inspiration, and shared laughter. Come to rest, reflect and get new energy for the year ahead.

Fleur van Hille

People often describe me as a warm and sunny person with an intuitive approach to teaching yoga. I like hearing this description because it shows that I’ve made a real connection with my students. And if there’s one thing about yoga that I love the most and which characterises my classes, workshops and retreats, it’s the feeling of being connected.

A retreat offers us the possibility of a truly profound experience of yoga. Surrounded by nature and among like-minded people from every corner of the world, a unique journey unfolds. Conversations open up, emotions are untapped, and discoveries are made…

In the quiet of each morning, we begin our yoga practice in stillness, taking time to anchor our awareness in the present moment through a guided breathing exercise, a meditation or visualisation. Then, drawing on the energy of the rising sun and the freshness of a brand-new day, I lead you through a vinyasa flow that is both gentle and energising.

During the dip in energy that tends to follow lunchtime, the sessions slow down, allowing for a deeper exploration of the techniques and practices encountered earlier in the day. There’s also plenty of time for sinking into a profound state of relaxation with restorative or yin yoga, or even yoga nidra (yogic sleep) – sometimes accompanied by mantras, music, or myths.

Divine Feminine

Divine Feminine

All Level ✺ 15-21 January 2023 ✺ La Viñuela, Andalusia, Spain

Every day, we walk in the depths of a deeply masculine world, but endless possibilities are waiting for us when we step into the sacred circle of sisterhood.

In this women-only retreat, we will learn from, connect with, and co-create alongside one another. We will explore many avenues of self-expression through daily yoga and meditation, as well as movement, breath, journaling, and embodiment practices. We will tap a toe into the magic of living alongside our natural, feminine rhythm, and we will support one another as equals as we move into our shadows to shine new light on the beauty that is flowing within us all.

Throughout our retreat, we will form a circle of sisterhood where we can hold space for one another and breathe in the healing of our shared experiences. Through the enchantment of self-expression, we will find a deeper connection to ourselves and to one another, leaving our week together to return home with a more profound understanding of the magic pulsing within all of us.

An important note: This retreat is open to all bodies walking in the expression of femininity. If you identify in another way and still wish to attend, we are so open to hearing from you and we can either discuss whether this event will support you, or we can direct you towards other practitioners who hold the best possible space for you.

Lauren Simonis

Hello beautiful humans! I’m Lauren and I’ve been a yoga teacher for five years, a facilitator for twenty, and a lover of all-female spaces my entire life. I believe there is magic when women come together and share their experiences. There is a sacred divinity that lives in each of us just waiting to be brought to the surface, and sometimes, a room filled with other voices calling out, “Yes, sister!” is exactly what we need to leave feeling a deeper sense of love and devotion to all of the magic that lives inside of us.

Lauren moved to Portugal from the U.S. in 2016 and that’s where her passion for yoga grew from a hobby, to a habit, to a passion. She first began teaching aerial yoga and then expanded her training to include vinyasa, hatha, yin, and myofascial release when she realised how much joy her students brought her. With these experiences, she found herself immersed more and more in all-female spaces, and in them, she found the healing, love, and support she had been craving all her life. These experiences inspired her to take additional training in creating sacred spaces for women so she could share the magic she found within them.
