ABOUT THE YOGA
Hatha Yoga means more than physical exercise or postures. In Sanskrit „Ha“ means sun and „Tha" means moon. Hatha then can be interpreted as "force or determined effort". Set into context with the meaning of Yoga (to 'bind, join, attach', and also 'union') we understand Hatha Yoga as the practice of joining or balancing (of the sun and moon energies in the body) by determined effort in order to achieve union.
The concepts of sun and moon energy refere to masculine and feminine energy. The sun represents male, light, fire and a burst if energy. Moon energy is considered to represent female, darkness, cold, support and long-lasting energy.
During this week we will seek to bring back balance into our lives. Maybe you have been busy lately and your body is craving for moon energy to embrace equilibrium. This week is about deepening your practice through dynamic morning classes,
restorative afternoon Yin Yoga Classes as well as breathing and relaxation techniques. Open up gently and welcome a feeling of bliss and wellbeing.
This weeks´ program is suitable for all levels and includes the practices of Hatha Yoga, Mindfulness meditation and Yin Yoga. It is designed for anyone who wishes to explore Yoga postures, breath work, and guided Meditation - Practices known to reduce stress and enhance well-being.
Surrounded by mountains and sea, Casa Erica is very peaceful and idyllic located on the coast of Andalusia, between Málaga and Nerja. There are no disturbing neighbors or street noise. It's only a 800m walk to the beach.
