Dive into the magical world of Sound, Yoga & Meditation

Imagine a scene of natural wonder, open skies, and clean air. A place of expansion, a place where you can breathe, where you can set your soul free… Now imagine having the support and guidance to completely relax into those surroundings – into yourself! – so that you feel at peace, inspired and energised.

This retreat is an invitation to do exactly that. So many of us live lives that are packed with buildings, choked with cars, criss-crossed by human activity and endless communication.

Every now and then, we need to remove ourselves from this environment and dive into a slower, quieter and more natural way of living.

Join the wonderful Natasha Moutran for this week-long retreat, where you’ll practice yoga, movement, meditation and pranayama from the comfort of a peaceful hideaway just minutes from the Spanish coast. Using ancient techniques, we’ll surrender, release and settle into stillness, and remind ourselves of the rhythm at which our soul feels most alive, content and inspired.

To further encourage a sense of freedom in your being, and remove what binds you physically, mentally and emotionally, Natasha will take you on a beautiful healing journey by bathing you in the healing vibrations of sound.

This retreat truly is a blissful week to bring our soul back to a state of freedom and spaciousness.

Discover the beautiful myths of the yoga postures

This retreat is intended to help you to find the joy in practice and what yoga means to you in your daily life.

Yoga originates from India and some of the Sanskrit names of the postures refer to Hindu myths. The Hindu deities and sages are all too human; they make mistakes and get confused or react in exaggerated ways. They represent different aspects of ourselves, making it easy for us to relate to their behaviour and stories. The stories often make us laugh and offer us a fresh perspective on daily situations and thought patterns.

Understanding the symbolism in these myths, we can embody them as we practice the posture. We can feel the courage of Hanuman in Hanumanasana or the fearlessness and inner-freedom of Shiva in Natarajasana

In meditation we can reflect on Ganesha, whose big belly represents to peacefully digest all good and bad in life. By singing the related mantras, we feel energised and reconnect to what brings us joy.

This week we’ll draw inspiration from various yoga scriptures and explore how we can translate the ancient yoga teachings into something practical in our daily lives.

We’ll start the day with meditation and pranayama, followed by vinyasa yoga practice. In the afternoons we will rest deeply with Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra (guided meditation).

We will also sing mantras to beautiful melodies (no singing experience required!), allowing music to touch our heart.

Whether you just love listening to stories or whether you are interested in the deeper meanings of asanas, this week is perfect for those new to yoga as well as more experienced practitioners.

Inclusive:
○ 7 Days in Andalusia at the Beach
○ 6 Nights Accommodation in Casa Erica

The Art of Play

3- 9 October

from 875€

A Retreat for the fearless, curious child within you

As adults, we don’t give ourselves a lot of time to be playful. There’s no recess, no break time. Our daily lives and routines often result in us merely ‘functioning’. We do, we give, we strive… and then we run out of time.

Well, now it’s your turn to play. This yoga retreat is for the fearless, curious child within you. Each element is designed to harness your creativity and unleash boundless joy! Whether you choose to take part in just the yoga classes or want to get involved with the art workshops too, you can count on getting lots of ‘play time’.
In the safe space of the group, yoga teacher Katie will lead you through a series of creative and powerful vinyasa flows –

breaking the movement patterns your body has become accustomed to. Against a backdrop of sound, you’ll move in ways your body hasn’t known since childhood.
You’ll also spend time with your ‘monkey mind’ – and in doing so, discover that the endless chatter can, in fact, be worth listening to. There’s space for all our emotions and thoughts, and on this retreat, we will learn how to use them beneficially, through deep relaxation and different forms of meditation.
In addition to daily yoga and meditation sessions, you’ll have the opportunity to awaken ‘the artist within’, with three optional workshops: collage, intuitive painting, and macramé. These activities are open to absolutely everyone – no experience is necessary, because there are no mistakes to be made!
In a relaxed state of mind and with time to ourselves, creativity can grow – and then extend its glittery fingers to all areas of our lives! Let this retreat inspire you to give yourself more ‘play time’.

About the teacher

Katie is an artist and a yoga teacher. Born and raised in Vienna, Katie studied dancing, singing and acting having found joy in movement and body work at a young age. The first time she discovered Hatha Yoga, she was fascinated by the impact it had on her body and her sometimes restless mind.

Simple postures helped her to heal her strong back pain and yoga became part of her daily routine. Vinyasa Yoga was later the style she discovered for herself in Viennas Yoga studios.
Inspired by different teachers and schools, Katie went to India for her teacher training. Deeply moved, she dived into anatomy, meditation and breathwork as well as the philosophical components. Yoga for her is a way of self-discovery, sensory awareness and perception.
Katie is also a Kabarettist and plays and sings whenever she has time for it. She leads her popular yoga classes with a lot of empathy and her pleasant voice.

Art Workshop

For those who wish to fully immerse themselves in the creative experience, there are 3 optional workshops, run by architect and artist, Olga Bo: Collage, Intuitive Painting & Drawing, and Macramé. These diverse sessions are intended to complement the playfulness of the yoga classes, to foster unbridled self-expression and raise creative energy!

Each workshop is a holistic experience in and of itself, and you are very welcome to attend just one (or none!). Of course, we would encourage you to join in as many as possible, as this will not only allow you to enjoy three very different creative techniques, but enhance your experience of the retreat overall, too.
Materials are provided and each workshop lasts between 2 and 3 hours. No previous experience is necessary (our wise souls know what to do).

PRICES
3 Workshops 80€
1 or 2 Workshops: 30€/each
The Workshops are optional.

Olga Bezanson is a Belarusian-born artist living and working in sunny Barcelona. Olga is the founder of a small fiber art brand ‚Olga Bo Studio‘ where she is the maker and boss rolled into one. Olga organizes workshops, likes travelling and dreams of opening a creative studio for adults and kids. Currently Olga works mostly with local materials such as wood, cotton rope and thread of natural colors in macramé technique. Her wall art is unique and fully handcrafted. The art work reflects her vision of the surrounding world as well as her internal emotions and experience. More about Olga

It’s time to rise and shine, ladies!

Inklusive:
○ 7 Tage in Andalusien am Strand
○ 6 Nächte Unterkunft in der Casa Erica
○ Open Sky Yoga Shala

“She believed she could, so she did.” ~ R.S. Grey

It’s your time to rise and shine, ladies! As women, we give away our energy every day – to our jobs, our partners, our children, the demands of daily life. And so often, we give away our power to other people’s (often conflicting) expectations of what a woman should be. This retreat is about taking back time for ourselves, so that we can reconnect to our true essence and stand side-by-side as sisters and the goddesses that we are!

Each day will start with an invigorating vinyasa flow class to stir the divine shakti energy within. According to yogic tradition, this sacred feminine energy is the dynamic force behind everything in the universe. These sessions will provide a space for you to experience the joy of expressing yourself freely, without judgement.

Evenings will take on the reflective, cool stillness of the moon, with restorative yoga sessions and time for deep contemplation. Modern day society is hectic, and this constant need to ‘do’ is born out of excessive male energy, which can lead to burn-out, frustration and disconnect. This retreat will give you the time and space to redress the balance. After all, even the most powerful goddesses need down time.

Throughout the week, you will be given tools that will allow you to develop a self-practice that supports your individual needs, provides an outlet for your innate creativity, and stokes your female power. You will also have the opportunity to take part of two creative workshops, share time with the other women on the retreat, and indulge in whatever form of self-care you desire, be it reading, exploring or sitting in silence.

About the teacher

Christina Bruns

As a former professional dancer Christina discovered yoga when she was looking for something more welcoming and excepting than the dance world. In 2015 she completed her 200h YTT at Sampoorna Yoga in Goa, India. In 2020 she returned to Sampoorna to accomplish the 300h YTT. After that, her life changed and she wanted to create a place free from all norms, where everyone is welcome and accepted, just as they are.

In January 2021 she opened her first yoga studio in Vienna, the  TRBY Yoga Studio.

Her classes are physically demanding and she loves playing with the dynamics. A modern approach is important to her in her classes. For her, teaching yoga means, above all, putting the people who practice with it in the foreground. All shapes that are given can be freely interpreted in order to arrive fully in your own body. For her, practicing yoga means establishing access to the body, finding acceptance for what is, seeing the beauty in the little things in life. To establish a connection between body and mind in order to bring trust and love back into the body.  as well as to transfer this also from the mat into everyday life.

A Yoga and Meditation Retreat

Finding Stillness

dates to be announced

from 875€

Balance comes not from holding onto a situation, but from making friends with heaven and earth.

– Chögyam Trungpa

Our day-to-day lives can be the source of comfort, security and nourishment, but they can also leave us feeling stuck, sad and angry. Likewise, our thoughts and daydreams can be the basis for both inspiration and frustration.
This retreat is an invitation to look at the relationships we have with our ‘heaven’ and with our ‘earth’, and to make friends with them both using yoga and meditation, in order to gain access to the still point that sits between them.

‘Earth’ represents gravity, food and material things. Earth is the exhale – it has a downward moving energy; it is the ground on which we stand, it is our foundation. Heaven represents air, possibility, ideas and vision. ‘Heaven’ is the inhale – it’s the deep breath we take when we expand into space. Yoga and meditation are practices of joining those two forces – of balancing our need to touch the ground, to have deep roots which hold us steady in the most turbulent times, with our need to feel free, able to grow and explore.

In this week-long retreat we will practice meditation, yin yoga and vinyasa, and use them as tools for examining our circumstances with calmness, trusting the ground we stand on, and giving ourselves to the open space of uncertainty.

About the teacher

Pleuni Apollonia, yoga teacher and musician, from the Netherlands, shares the path of Yoga and Healing Music with others, to help people find more peace and live a more fulfilled heart-based life. The Vinyasa classes she teaches are an exploration of the body’s natural way of moving and in her Yin classes the focus lays on softness and on journeying though our inner world. Students are invited to feel into their own body and decide with openness and curiosity what it is that works for them individually. The most important thing is to explore the body in space while listening deeply to what it needs.

Her other passion lies in music and the power of sound. In her Soundhealings she works with  specific vibrations to help release tension, support the flow of energy, and promote emotional balance.
Another beautiful quality of music is that it connects, and brings you more into your heart. Togetherness is an important aspect of life because your spiritual family can help you grow. Pleuni describes herself as a connector, and she loves bringing people together, creating a safe container of likeminded souls, a circle of support, a tribe. In the bigger events she organises there are many other musicians involved. Sharing joy and happiness in this way creates community. This is a time to remember who we really are, and step into our light.

In this week-long retreat we will practice meditation, yin yoga and vinyasa, and use them as tools for examining our circumstances with calmess, trusting the ground we stand on, and giving ourselves to the open space of uncertainty.

A Yoga and Meditation Retreat

Sacred Sound

dates to be announced

from 875€

This might just be the most divine and carefree week of your life. Over seven days, we’ll tread lightly and joyfully, bottling the magic of early mornings spent in nature, blending complimentary styles of yoga, experiencing self-transcendence through Mantra chanting, tuning into the frequencies of sacred sound, and connecting to the compassionate heart with cacao.
Our days will begin with a soothing meditation in which we use the voice to find our inner focus, followed by an energising and free flowing vinyasa yoga practice in the open sky shala.
As the shadows grow long in the afternoons, we’ll begin to slow down and reflect while we sink into long-held yin postures that invite our minds to become quiet. In this beautiful practice we will incorporate the healing power of sound. Pleuni will take you on journey with the help of different instruments each with their unique tone, and her voice while you can fully relax and receive.

This total sensory experience has the ability to both calm the mind, as well as energise the body, leaving you feeling totally blissed out and rejuvenated.
On a few evenings we will gather in ceremony to sing together, celebrate life and reconnect to who we really are. When you chant mantras your mind releases positive energy that decreases negative thoughts. This ancient practice calms both the mind and the soul enabling us to enter a trance-like state that truly connects us with ourselves and those around us. The medicine of cacao supports this process beautifully and helps us reignite our inner fire.
Expect to play, move and learn, to go beyond the norms and conventions that often hold us back, and to experience a profound sense of joy and interconnectedness.

Full Moon

Dates to be announced

Live by the sun, feel by the moon.

Each morning begins with an invigorating, but easily adapted vinyasa yoga practice, to warm the body and bring you into your most attentive and joyous state with you being given plenty of hands on assistance to help you develop a yoga practice that is suitable for you and your unique mind and body. Your warm and enthusiastic yoga teacher who loves to share yoga accompanied by music – these sessions promise to leave you feeling as though you’ve just danced into the day!

Afternoons will take on a more mellow and introspective feel. These restorative sessions will draw heavily on T.K.V. Desikachar’s Heart of Yoga approach, which is itself based on the teachings of Krishnamacharya, the ‘father of modern Yoga’.
During each class, you will be encouraged to focus on the breath – your ultimate teacher – and to connect every inhale and every exhale to your body’s movements. This breath-led practice will steer you through the postures in an explorative and gentle way, and gradually reveal the ideal self-practice for you. And this, in turn, will allow you to find a deep and intimate connection with yourself and your surroundings – the ideal conditions for setting new intentions, in conjunction with the new moon.
