As adults, we don’t give ourselves a lot of time to be playful. There’s no recess, no break time. Our daily lives and routines often result in us merely ‘functioning’. We do, we give, we strive… and then we run out of time.

A Retreat for the fearless, curious child within you

Well, now it’s your turn to play. This yoga retreat is for the fearless, curious child within you. Each element is designed to harness your creativity and unleash boundless joy! Whether you choose to take part in just the yoga classes or want to get involved with the art workshops too, you can count on getting lots of ‘play time’.
In the safe space of the group, yoga teacher Katie will lead you through a series of creative and powerful vinyasa flows –

breaking the movement patterns your body has become accustomed to. Against a backdrop of sound, you’ll move in ways your body hasn’t known since childhood.
You’ll also spend time with your ‘monkey mind’ – and in doing so, discover that the endless chatter can, in fact, be worth listening to. There’s space for all our emotions and thoughts, and on this retreat, we will learn how to use them beneficially, through deep relaxation and different forms of meditation.
In addition to daily yoga and meditation sessions, you’ll have the opportunity to awaken ‘the artist within’, with three optional workshops: collage, intuitive painting, and macramé. These activities are open to absolutely everyone – no experience is necessary, because there are no mistakes to be made!

About the teacher

Katie is an artist and a yoga teacher. Born and raised in Vienna, Katie studied dancing, singing and acting having found joy in movement and body work at a young age. The first time she discovered Hatha Yoga, she was fascinated by the impact it had on her body and her sometimes restless mind. 

Simple postures helped her to heal her strong back pain and yoga became part of her daily routine. Vinyasa Yoga was later the style she discovered for herself in Viennas Yoga studios.
Inspired by different teachers and schools, Katie went to India for her teacher training. Deeply moved, she dived into anatomy, meditation and breathwork as well as the philosophical components. Yoga for her is a way of self-discovery, sensory awareness and perception.
Katie is also a Kabarettist and plays and sings whenever she has time for it. She leads her popular yoga classes with a lot of empathy and her pleasant voice.

Art Workshop

For those who wish to fully immerse themselves in the creative experience, there are 3 optional workshops, run by architect and artist, Olga Bo: Collage, Intuitive Painting & Drawing, and Macramé. These diverse sessions are intended to complement the playfulness of the yoga classes, to foster unbridled self-expression and raise creative energy!

Each workshop is a holistic experience in and of itself, and you are very welcome to attend just one (or none!). Of course, we would encourage you to join in as many as possible, as this will not only allow you to enjoy three very different creative techniques, but enhance your experience of the retreat overall, too.
Materials are provided and each workshop lasts between 2 and 3 hours. No previous experience is necessary (our wise souls know what to do).

Olga Bezanson is a Belarusian-born artist living and working in sunny Barcelona. Olga is the founder of a small fiber art brand ‚Olga Bo Studio‘ where she is the maker and boss rolled into one. Olga organizes workshops, likes travelling and dreams of opening a creative studio for adults and kids. Currently Olga works mostly with local materials such as wood, cotton rope and thread of natural colors in macramé technique. Her wall art is unique and fully handcrafted. The art work reflects her vision of the surrounding world as well as her internal emotions and experience. More about Olga

If you want to unwind, feel deeply into your body and find out how to nourish your whole self with amazing vegan cuisine, while having lots of fun, this retreat is for you. Combining two of their greatest passions, food and yoga, your teachers will lead you through a week that is sure to inspire and restore.
The daily yoga practice will help you to develop the ability to listen to the thoughts and feelings that are present, without getting caught up in them. Enjoy moving your body during dynamic morning classes, find balance in yoga poses with someone else in partner yoga, sing mantras at sunset and discover the healing quality of rest with restorative yoga.

Whether you have been practicing yoga for many years or you are new to yoga; you are welcome! Your yoga teacher provides a safe environment and guides you through the classes in a light hearted, yet grounding way.
When you’re not on your yoga mat, you are invited to join the series of culinary workshops that are unique to this retreat. Sasha will share her passion for fresh-fusion, vegan cuisine and being creative in the kitchen.
On this Retreat you’ll learn how to get started with plant based cooking, cook a whole plant based dinner and make raw vegan desserts, as well as being inspired by the dishes you indulge in every meal time.

About the teacher

Lisa is practicing yoga for almost 13 years. Her classes are dynamic and fun and for everyone adjustable. Lisa`s mission is to bring yoga to all types and ages. There is no Yoga body, instead yoga is for EVERY BODY.

Lisa is convinced that beside mindfulness and yoga, nutrition is another big aspect of a happy and healthy life. Therefore she just finished her studies in Holistic Nutrition with RPA School in Kuala Lumpur.
For the last 8 years she has been living in Southeast Asia and is currently living in Spain.
Working with her hands has always been another big passion of her life which lead her to massage therapy. She got her diploma in 2010 and is now trained in various ancient healing techniques from Balinese Massage to Thai Body and Indian Marma point massage.
In 2013 she then completed her first 200hrs yoga teacher training in Bali. Lisa is trained in Hatha & Vinyasa Yoga, Pre- and Postnatal Yoga, Kids Yoga as well in Thai Yoga Massage. She is also a certified in Yin Yoga by Sarah Powers and recently finished her 300hrs training with Bryce Yoga School and Beyond Yoga.

Each morning begins with an invigorating, but easily adapted vinyasa yoga practice, to warm the body and bring you into your most attentive and joyous state with you being given plenty of hands on assistance to help you develop a yoga practice that is suitable for you and your unique mind and body. Your warm and enthusiastic yoga teacher who loves to share yoga accompanied by music – these sessions promise to leave you feeling as though you’ve just danced into the day!

Afternoons will take on a more mellow and introspective feel. These restorative sessions will draw heavily on T.K.V. Desikachar’s Heart of Yoga approach, which is itself based on the teachings of Krishnamacharya, the ‘father of modern Yoga’.
During each class, you will be encouraged to focus on the breath – your ultimate teacher – and to connect every inhale and every exhale to your body’s movements. This breath-led practice will steer you through the postures in an explorative and gentle way, and gradually reveal the ideal self-practice for you. And this, in turn, will allow you to find a deep and intimate connection with yourself and your surroundings – the ideal conditions for setting new intentions, in conjunction with the new moon.

so that you can relax, replenish and operate with intention – avoiding the highs and lows that come with actions born out of desire and reflex. 
Do you ever find yourself scrolling through social media, when it was never your intention? Arriving somewhere and then realising you don’t remember anything about the journey – even if it was you who was driving? 

Our attention is constantly pulled from one thing to another. We lose our connection to the peace that exists within all of us – the peace that connects us to each other, the unity, the yoga!
Each day, you will have the opportunity to take part in yoga and pranayama sessions that have been specially designed to help you increase your sense of stillness and turn your focus inward.

She feels blessed and grateful to be able to share the essence of Yoga’s teachings. Vera is an E-RYT 500 YA certified yoga instructor & former Yoga Teacher Training lead. She is specialized in Vinyasa Yoga and has additional certifications in Aerial Yoga, Yin Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation.

About the teacher

Rowena Johnson is a certified Jivamukti teacher and has been practicing yoga asana since 2008. What began as physical pursuit, soon developed into a deeper awareness of body, mind and spirit. She became curious about the history, physiology and philosophy of this practice and began to explore this curiosity through various workshops, retreats, and the completion of her first teacher training in India. Since then she has gone on teach in the UK, Central and South America, and as a main teacher on a 200hr & 300hr Yoga Teacher Training Course in India.

Rowena believes in the importance of being a student first and foremost, which has led her to further her study of Ashtanga yoga under the guidance of Sharath Jois at KPJAYI in Mysore and Jivamukti under the guidance of David Life, Anja Kuehnel & Rima Rani Rabbath in Costa Rica. Christina Bruns

As a former professional dancer Christina discovered yoga when she was looking for something more welcoming and excepting than the dance world. In 2015 she completed her 200h YTT at Sampoorna Yoga in Goa, India. In 2020 she returned to Sampoorna to accomplish the 300h YTT. After that, her life changed and she wanted to create a place free from all norms, where everyone is welcome and accepted, just as they are.

In January 2021 she opened her first yoga studio in Vienna, the  TRBY Yoga Studio. 

Her classes are physically demanding and she loves playing with the dynamics. A modern approach is important to her in her classes. For her, teaching yoga means, above all, putting the people who practice with it in the foreground. All shapes that are given can be freely interpreted in order to arrive fully in your own body. For her, practicing yoga means establishing access to the body, finding acceptance for what is, seeing the beauty in the little things in life.
